Marianne Hornbuckle

Marianne specializes in bronze sculptures that capture the humanity, grace, and details of unique individuals.  The sculptures are neither idealized nor abstracted…they are intimate closeups. Capturing the complexity of the human form is what challenges and inspires her.  The works remind us that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and it is more about “spirit” than cultural ideals. An artist in excess of 40 years, she draws regularly from life itself. Sculpting has been part of her life for more than 10 years - first presenting her bronzes in 2009.  For her, sculpting is drawing in clay.
